Friday UPDATE

"No movie review today but I do have a Blu-ray update which include, A Michael Caine film and it's remake and the last good theatrical film from Seagal."

"Get Carter is a British classic where Michael Caine goes to Newcastle to find his Brother's killer. The remake however starring Sylvester Stallone has the same premise but a lot less violent and more style over substance. It is worth a look but doesn't have a patch on the original."

"Do you remember a time when Steven Seagal could be seen on the silver screen and was actually worth watching? No? Me neither."

Seagal and rapper DMX must have went to the same acting coach.

"At this point Seagal's career was nearing it's end after the last few films he had done were terrible. He then signed on to do this film, Exit Wounds under a few conditions. The infamous producer Joel Silver wanted Steven to get rid of the ponytail, lose the weight and get some proper clothes. Miraculously he did this and he looks in the same shape he was 20 years prior. Exit Wounds is one of those hip hop early 2000s action films like Cradle 2 the Grave. Steven actually brings back his charm and charisma we once seen when he started his career. A great Seagal film, sadly the weight loss was not meant to be and in his next film he was bigger than ever. The next film he was in was Half Past Dead and was his last theatrical film where he disappeared into direct to DVD obscurity never to be seen again. Warner Bros. have went to some effort to restore the picture quality and it looks amazing, now only if they were to release his other classics like on deadly ground and the glimmer man."

New review on Monday.
